Hampton Roads Naval Museum & USS Wisconsin closes for Hanna

(Norfolk, Virginia) – September 5, 2008 - The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is owned and operated by the United States Navy and is located on level two of Nauticus in downtown Norfolk.



In preparation for Tropical Storm Hanna, our largest artifact, the Battleship Wisconsin, is currently closed. Also, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum will be closed on Saturday, September 6.

The Salvation Army prepares for Tropical Storm Hanna

Hampton Roads, VA (September 5, 2008) – The Salvation Army Tidewater Area Command is in the process of pulling together a team of five (5) mobile-feeding canteen units to be on alert in anticipation of Tropical Storm Hanna, scheduled to affect the Hampton Roads area this Saturday.
